The Zarcillo Awards held its 19th edition in Burgos on March 23, 24, 25 and 26, 2023.
The biennial wine competition, organized by the Junta de Castilla y León since 1991, is sponsored by the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV) and is part of the World Federation of Major International Wine and Spirits Competitions (VINOFED).
This year nearly 2,000 samples from 40 countries have been tasted in a new stage in which the aim is to strengthen its international character, so that its awards are even more widely recognized among European buyers, sommeliers and consumers, and to position itself as one of the major international wine competitions.
We are proud that such a competition, so much of our land, has recognized the quality and the well-done work behind our 2019 Syrah from Bodegas Vizar by awarding us a Gold Zarcillo in this 2023 edition. Congratulations team.
